MUMBAI: British prime minister Tony Blair has made his movie debut in a short film directed by Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.

According to PTI, the short film, titled Global Cool, is about climate change awareness.

Blair plays a “carbon crusader” in the film, which also stars Sienna Miller. Global Cool was premiered at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony at Yorkshire.

“I’ve been preparing for this role for the last ten years. So it was great to be part of Global Cool. But remember, I was only one of a billion people saving the planet in this movie — and they are all stars,” Blair was quoted as saying.
