T-Series’ Himesh-starrer Kajraare goes on floors

Mumbai: The muhurat of Bhushan Kumar’s film Kajraare at Film City was an in-house affair. Veteran filmmaker Johny Bakshi sounded the clapper board, while Mahesh Bhatt was there to boost the morale of daughter director Pooja Bhatt’s team.

Creative director Divya Khosla Kumar started the camera while playback singer Tulsi Kumar and music director-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya discussed the intricacies of the number Kumar is rendering in Kajraare. Writer Shagufta Rafiq, Monalaizza and T-Series director Ajay Kapoor also made an appearance.

Mahesh Bhatt said, "Johny Bakshi had given me my first break years ago. And I did this film to pay him back."

He also added, "Gulshan Kumar was a daredevil who would come half way down the pitch to hit a shot he believed in."

He also avered, "Bhushan was a chip off the old block. Kajraare with its music and its strength of story would be a film that will make its mark."

Divya Kumar said, "The film has tremendous potential and a beginning has been made with the muhurat."

Director Pooja Bhatt stated, "I wanted to go commercial with a vengeance after Paap and what would be a better combination than a musical with Himesh Reshmammiya and Bhushan Kumar’s T Series! I have gone commercial with Kajraare, but at the same time, it is definitely a story with a heart."
