MUMBAI: The Brihan Maharashtra Mandal of North America (BMM) has invited filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar as a guest a honour at its 13th biennial convention in Seattle, Washington from 28 June to 1 July.
The BMM serves the Marathi community in North America. The conventions which is attended by over 5000 people from all over the US, provides an opportunity to interact and discuss issues of common interest and provide a forum to display artistic talents.
The BMM, wishes to felicitate Bhandarkar, commending his efforts for awakening the social conscience of his audience through his films.
The BMM has, in previous conventions, honoured other Maharashtrians like Asha Bhonsle, Bhimsen Joshi, Madhuri Dixit and other eminent personalities from the world of the creative arts.
