Vikram Bhatt’s Mumbai Salsa picks pace


MUMBAI: Vikram Bhatt, after joining hands with producers Surendra Sharma, Amita Bishnoi and Bhagwanti Gabrani under the banner of ASA Films Pvt. Ltd., is marching ahead with the first venture Mumbai Salsa. 


The film, which is directed by Manoj Tyagi and stars newcomers, will be ready for release in September this year.


Bhatt says, “By this association we intend to promote budding talents and have decided to do four films at a time. Mumbai Salsa revolves around a disco and the story is about different people seeking love in their own unique style. We have already commenced the shooting of the film in the last week of May and plan to wrap the entire shooting by 10 July. We are looking to release the film by September end.”


Mumbai Salsa has eight aspirants in the lead; of which American actress Linda Arsenio has already featured in Kabul Express. The rest of the new comers are Vir Das, Indraneil Sengupta, Ray Irani, Dilip Thadeshwar, Manjari Fadnis, Amruta and Neelam Chauhan. Sameer has penned the lyrics while Adnan Sami is providing the musical composition. Cinematography is by Kalpesh Bhandarkar and Manmohan Singh is the executive producer of this film.
