Zee Cinema bags dual honours at ITA Awards

MUMBAI: Zee Cinema has won the Best Hindi Movie channel and the Best Telefilm for Pyaar Ki Shuruaat awards for the fifth time in a row at the Indian Television Academy Awards held in Mumbai on 24 November, 2007.


 


Zee Cinema business head Mohan Gopinath said, “Zee Cinema is not a channel to rest on its laurels. The flow of awards since last year has provided us with greater impetus to work hard and sustain our leading position, adding value for the viewer.”


 


Zee Cinema senior marketing manager Indranil SenGupta added, “The objective is to build a series, by creating and releasing two minute films year on year (Paap Ka Anth – India’s first two minute thriller and Pyaar Ki Shuruaat – India’s first two min love story). These films form part of Zee Cinema’s brand enhancement exercise, they acknowledge the societal and cultural nuances in a manner that are identifiable and hugely entertaining. Paap Ka Anth and Pyaar Ki Shuruaat have won numerous awards across all reputed institutions.


 

The channel has also acquired several new titles like Vivah, Fool & Final, Subhash Ghai’s blockbusters adding to its library.
