Zee Entertainment launches 4 channels on Fetch TV Australia

MUMBAI:  Zee Entertainment  has launched four channels :Zee TV APAC, Zee Cinema, Zing and  Zee Salaam, on Fetch TV in Australia

The four channels have been launched on World TV, a package on Fetch TV, having two sub-packages in it, namely, South Asian and Mandarin.

Fetch TV is an Australian founded-and-owned business, with backing from the Malaysian based Astro All Asia Networks subscription TV group.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) CEO International Business Bharat Ranga said, “There is a high broadband penetration of 6.1 million households in Australia and the internet-based media consumption on digital platforms, and it has been rapidly growing. Hence, we are definitely in a favorable situation to take advantage of the current dynamics in the market.”

ZEEL business head APAC region Tarun Mehra said, “Fetch TV gives us another platform to reach our viewers. Zee reaches out to 4.8 million viewers currently, in APAC alone. I am positive that Fetch TV will contribute in raising the benchmark that we have created for ourselves. We look forward to a long-term association with them.”

South Asian media expert Saba Zaidi Abdi, who has worked with Fetch TV on the creation of these packages, said, “While packaging the two bouquets, we have selected only the premium channels and best quality content available from South Asia. Acknowledging the diverse cultural, linguistic, religious and entertainment needs within the South Asian community we have created compelling and comprehensive bouquets which offer a rich variety of channels for all generations. Because Fetch TV is delivered over broadband, a satellite dish is not required to receive the packages. This means that the new service can be accessed by a larger proportion of the South Asian community that can receive existing subscription TV options.”
