MUMBAI : Producer-director Sunil Babbar is back with another Hinglish film, The Party.
Babbar, who was awarded with the ‘Best Foreign Film Award’ and the Producer of the Year Award at the Yellowstone International Film Festival, 2002 in Montana ( USA) for his Indian English feature film Ants, says his new film is based on a late night party in a discotheque.
“The film is about a school’s golden jubilee reunion which goes awry when a rape is committed. The Party was shot in Mumbai, Shimla and Chandigarh, and is a medium budget film starring newcomers. We have Sunidhi Chauhan and Kunal Ganjawala lending their voices for the five songs in the film,” says Babbar.
The film is being readied for a worldwide release in May this year. It features Ishaan Kakria, Akshitaa Agnihotri, Kyhali Sharan, Pratap Singh Faujdar, Palak, Ekta Singh, Vijay Kapoor, Kritika, Richa, Simran, Anmol, Bharat, Mikki, H.S. Lamba, Shiv Singla and Navneet Chopra. Atul Sharma has penned the lyrics and provided the music score.
