A PHOTO JOURNEY: Sonakshi Sinha’s Three Years To Super Stardom

Acting was the obvious choice for Sonakshi Sinha. Born to star father Shatrughan Sinha, making a decision wouldn’t have been a task. And seven films later, Sonakshi Sinha in three years, clearly emerged as the star to keep an eye for.

MUMBAI: In her three-year career, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has had a super successful stint in Bollywood – the lass is already shooting her 11th film! With her acting skills also having received the thumbs up through her recent release ‘Lootera’, Sonakshi Sinha has surely reached the peak of stardom. ‘Bullet Raja’ with Saif Ali Khan and ‘Rambo Rajkumar’  with Shahid Kapoor are next on the anvil.

In an age where it is quite difficult to strike the right notes, Sonakshi Sinha has notably emerged as the actress to look out for, in just the three years.

From acting with her mentor Salman Khan (who gave Sonakshi her first break) in the ‘Dabangg’ series, to ‘Rowdy Rathore’ with Akshay Kumar and ‘Son of Sardaar’ with Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha in most of her films played the village belle with ease.

And surprisingly it is Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn who have been the stars she has worked with the most. And while she has been lucky that the films have tasted box-office successes, her acting mettle also has been lauded and she isn’t a mere presence in the star driven film.

Losing close to 30kgs for grabbing her first role in ‘Dabangg’ was a difficult task for Sonakshi. But with her successful stint at the box-office, luck has been with the actress and more importantly the hard work Sonakshi Sinha has put all through the years has bore fruits.

While she has played the ‘gaon ki chori’ with ease, the bigger challenge now lies if she can play the modern babe with the same style as well. We did see a glimpse of modern Sonakshi in the ‘Oh My God’ song with Prabhu Deva.

But it will be great to see Sonakshi in the modern avatar as well. She surely wouldn’t disappoint her audiences. She hasn’t disappointed in the three years!

Here’s wishing Sonakshi Sinha more successes and more films! A toast to the lady for her three years in Bollywood and many more to come!
