Aamir Khan Wants To Reform The Country

Aamir-Khan-02[tps_footer] Aamir Khan, Rohit Shetty, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashutosh Rana and other celebs made their attendence at Aaj Tak Panchayat Talk Show in Mumbai recently.

Aamir Khan asked: “How many people pay taxes honestly…Those who do not pay taxes to the government are traitors to the country. Corruption is not prevalent in just Members of Parliament, but it is there in every human being.”

With the ever increasing heinous crimes, we need “balance of power” to put an end to it, he said. He also stated on absent MP’s that if he was made one, he would make sure to attend Parliament everyday.

The Mr. Perfectionist, who was addressing a session ‘Mumbai Ka Mudda‘ at Agenda Aaj Tak on Saturday, took utter care when speaking of police reforms and speedy delivery of justice. He believes that a mere increase in the number of our police force can’t help the matters, but making them accountable will certainly go a long way towards addressing the issue.

Aamir also said that he would like the government to look into four key issues: “education, health care, police reforms and justice”.

Aamir Khan strongly believes that one does not necessarily need to be a politician to make reforms in the country.

Responding to prejudicing women through Hindi cinema, Aamir said, “I admit that Hindi films have been irresponsible in terms of portrayal of women.” “It sends a wrong message. Songs like Tu cheez badi hai mast mast (from Mohra) and Khambe jaisi khadi hai (Dil featuring Aamir) are not good. We should respect the sentiments of women. I accept my own hand in it. But I will try not to do this now. I will take this up with my friends and be sensitive henceforth.”[/tps_footer]
