The Mumbai launch of the 5th edition of the Jagran Film Festival received a grand opening. The star-studded affair took place at Taj Lands End, Bandra. Superstars Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi, Divya Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Abbas- Mastan, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Zarine Khan, Sonal Chauhan, Tisca Chopra, Rashmi Desai, Shekhar Ravjiani, Sharman Joshi, Subhash Ghai, Chitrangada Singh, Neha Dhupia, Sophie Choudhary, Onir, Tusshar Kapoor, Manish Paul, Arjan Bajwa, Goldie Behl, Adnan Sami, Meiyang Chang and Mika Singh came to show support for the exalted film event.

The actors were absolutely exhilarated to support the movement towards the growth of cinema.
JFF, the only festival in India to broadcast across 16 cities, concluded in Mumbai from September 22 to September 28. The global films were screened at two venues: PVR Andheri, and Cinemax Versova.
The festival starting from Delhi, travelled through Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Hissar, Ludhiana, Meerut, Dehradun, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal, and will finally rise to crescendo in Mumbai. It includes not only regional, national but also global films.
This year’s edition was filled with a list of exciting films of diverse genres. The festival followed several sections: For example, Cinema of the Uprising, where a special section broadcasted 7 special films towards the fight for freedom globally. As for the Indian Showcase, it included more than 20 feature films, made in several Indian regional languages, including Hindi blockbusters.
