These stars attended a press conference in Mumbai, to speak out vociferously against crimes against women.
In today’s day and age, where crimes against women are increasingly becoming a common phenomenon, it is imperative for society as a whole to undergo a serious transformation. It is time to look within, and question the attitudes we have inculcated within ourselves. Women are not objects to be mistreated, and this was the message Ajay Devgn and others were trying to convey.
Salman Khan’s lyricist father Salim Khan, along with his once-upon-a-time writing partner Javed Akhtar came together on the same platform, to spread awareness about the issue. Even Ajay Devgn took time out from his busy schedule, to attend the event.
Filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, known for their sensitive, realistic portrayal of women in films, spoke about their opinion on the issue.
Also present at the event was Mumbai Police Commissioner Dr Satyapal Singh.
