Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his birthday this year in a silent affair, with family.
He, however, took time out for media interactions outside his office Janak. He is the son of the late poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, and is blessed with a son actor Abhishek Bachchan who married actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who have daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya are also blessed with a daughter Shweta Nanda.
Amitabh Bachchan chose a very radiant colour for the occasion as he was seen in an orange kurta by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
As a matter of co-incidence, today is also the day of Karva Chauth. Even though Amitabh Bachchan is not fasting today, the female members of his house are.
When asked about the reason for skipping his fast, he said, “This year I am not fasting due to health issues. I have to take some medicines. All the women in the house are fasting and will break their fast in the night. Then we shall all have dinner together.”
Amitabh Bachchan is also very close to his late parents. He said, “Today morning I went to (my home) Prateeksha and took my parents’s blessings. I still feel they are in Prateeksha with us. I generally take their blessings daily before I leave for work.”
Not many know that Amitabh Bachchan is the one megastar who is true to his title. He has done more double roles than anybody in the Bollywood film fraternity.
Amitabh Bachchan is unsure of what boosts his lively and energetic nature. He spoke of it either being genetic or because of his innumerous fans!
Amitabh Bachchan is one such actor who never shies away from taking an opportunity, which makes him a busy actor, both on the small as well as the silver screen.
