MUMBAI: Prateik Babbar has always had the aura of oddity around him. Even his debut in Bollywood in director Abbas Tyrewala’s ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Naa’ was that of an oddball brother to Genelia D’souza’s character.
While promoting director Manish Tiwary’s ‘Issaq’, Prateik Babbar showcased that same craziness. Arriving in torn jeans and a netted long-sleeve t-shirt, he made quite a lasting impression.
The budding actor also had sunglasses on in closed rooms. That was more due to him sustaining an injury just below his right eye by playing rugby. But that did not stop him from posing with all the women in the college for the shutterbugs.
The girls were more than happy to take some photos with the star too. The ‘Issaq’ star later spoke to the media, and struck several dramatic poses while talking about how his film had everything an audience wanted from a hero in a Hindi film.
Let’s hope the film turns out to be good. ‘Issaq’ is a modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo And Juliet’ and stars Amyra Dastur, Evelyn Sharma, Ravi Kishan alongside Prateik Babbar. It releases on 26 July, 2013.
