Ahana Deol’s pre-wedding mehndi ceremony on Friday afternoon was quite the intimate family affair. The family had a simple ceremony to mark the mehndi of the youngest Deol, Ahana. Ahana will wed her beau Vaibhav Vora in a simple, elegant ceremony this weekend.
The beautiful bride-to-be looked radiant and happy in an ink blue and green ghagra choli. What stood out was the unique, and beautiful, wreath of flowers she wore round her head. Her fiance Vaibhav was traditionally clad in a gold embroidered silk kurta pyjama.
Ahana’s mother Hema talks about shopping for the wedding, “It was a task. When Esha tied the knot, I brought a lot of things from down South. This time the shopping was done in Mumbai and Jaipur. Neeta Lulla has designed her mehendi ceremony ensemble and Manish Malhotra her wedding outfit.”
The ceremony took place at their residence, and present for paparazzi photographs was proud mama Hema Malini ji. Hema was clad in an elegant rose coloured kanjivaram silk sari, and a flower garland adorned her hair.
Hema was naturally ecstatic that her younger daughter Ahana had found her match, when she said to the assembled press: “I am glad that Ahana has found someone as her life partner. It is a joyous moment for all of us. Vaibhav is a very nice boy.”
Also spotted at the mehndi was Ahana’s older sister Esha, with her husband Bharat. Interestingly, Ahana met Vaibhav at her sister’s wedding ceremony last year, and the two hit it off instantly. Since they were serious about each other, they decided to take the plunge and their families happily agreed.
