MUMBAI: Though the lead actor of ‘Policegiri’, Sanjay Dutt is cooling his heels in Yeravda prison, the makers of the film left no stone unturned in ensuring the screening of the film was a grand affair.
A special screening was organised by producers Rahul and TP Agarwal, in accordance with Sanjay Dutt’s wishes for the proceeds to be donated to the victims of the Uttarakhand floods.
Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata, who has stood by a rock by her husband’s side, was seen at the special screening of ‘Policegiri’. Also present were Dutt’s long time friends and associates, including Mahesh Bhatt, Bunty Walia, Apoorva Lakhia among others. Prachi Desai, heroine of ‘Policegiri’ was seen arriving solo.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said, “I usually don’t attend film events. But since this is Sanju’s first release post his imprisonment, I made an exception. Sanju has once again shown what real professionalism is, by putting his personal tragedies on the back burner.”
Also present were Bollywood stars like Shriya Saran, Ravi Kissen, Dipannita Sharma.
