DURBAN: While Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations begin in Mumbai, a few bollywood celebrities were mingling with their South African brethren at the first SAIFTA Awards. And as expected, they put on a mighty spectacular show.
Karan Johar and Dia Mirza were the hosts of the SAIFTA event, and they kept the evening witty and eventful throughout.
The performances at SAIFTA were of top-notch quality too, as firstly Priyanka Chopra stole the show. Then Madhuri Dixit-Nene too made the audiences go gaga with a performance of her song ‘Ghagra’ from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.
Among the men, it was Siddharth Malhotra, performing songs from ‘Student Of The Year’, and Ranveer Singh, that set the SAIFTA stage on fire.
Once again, ‘Barfi!’ proved the top winner at SAIFTA, with ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, ‘Talaash’, ‘Special 26’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’ picking up awards as well.
