[tps_footer]“It could be your relative. It could be you. Who would be hanging on the tread of life, and death. A time wasted is a life wasted.”
And so started the “Make Way For Ambulance” campaign. Mardaani Rani Mukerji was seen inaugurating the event at Nehru Centre, Worli. The event was all about sensitising people over the major need to let the ambulances reach hospitals without turbulence.
Others present at the event were actor Nikhil Dwivedi, Police Commisioner Rakesh Maria and Joint Commisioner of Police BK Upadhaya.
The major reason for delays in reaching the hospitals are the overly-exhaustive traffic of Mumbai.
Rani Mukerji, who was seen with a little baby bump, and covering it with her dupatta, spoke for the campaign to be a huge success with a lot of enthusiasm, “I hope the idea is replicated all over India. This initiative will make a huge difference in saving many lives”.
