[tps_footer]Shah Rukh Khan‘s Happy New Year faced a grand world premiere in Dubai recently. The men rocked the red carpet in Black formals, while the ladies opted for a variety of clothes (Deepika Padukone opted for western, while Farah and Gauri Khan opted for Indian wear).
Farah Khan infact earlier stated that she made the movie Happy New Year keeping New Year celebrated at Dubai in mind.
Some places where the film was shot in Dubai are- Atlantis The Palm (where the premiere also took place), The Burj Al Arab, the Dubai Mall Ice Rink, Dubai airport and the Hatta desert.
Infact, Farah Khan took to saying that earlier she had six characters in mind, but at the end there were seven: Dubai.
It was a very emotional moment for the whole cast as they finally to go their paths after filming and promoting Happy New Year together for a long time. Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani Farah Khan burst into tears, while Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan tried to console them.
Shah Rukh Khan being completely involved in Happy New Year (he was responsible for the film editing aside from acting and producing), Farah Khan called him her moral support who was present on sets even when not required.
Shah Rukh Khan took the opportunity to thank the greatly welcoming place and Happy New Year in, “It is an overwhelming and emotional time for us. But people will be proud of how we have depicted Dubai. When I come to Dubai, it is not even my second home; it is home. I have a house here. I really love this place.”

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Farah Khan trio had earlier worked in Om Shanti Om, which was Deepika‘s debut movie. The movie also created a lot of magic on screen.
Deepika Padukone (a 4-film hit actress) is the sole lady in the multi- starrer film Happy New Year featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah in main leads.
Boman Irani, finally gaining composure, spoke up. He said, “More than a cinematic experience, this has been the grandest and most magnificient human experience; for years to come. Shah Rukh Khan may be the second richest actor in the world, but when it comes to sharing, we are all the richest actors the world has seen.”
Shah Rukh Khan, known for his wit, replied with a- “Just to clarify: I am not one of the richest actors in the world. But I want to be an actor who is rich in giving and spreading happiness.”
Shah Rukh Khan also showed his eagerness to bring his famous SLAM! Tour to Dubai by the end of the year.
Farah Khan cleared the air and completely denied of Happy New Year to be anywhere related to the Hollywood movie Oceans 11/ Oceans 12. Happy New Year released in theatres in India, today.
