Spotted: Deepika Padukone Goes Pretty In White At The Launch Event

It was a first when we saw an actress actively participate in launching an integrated banking application for the third largest private sector bank ‘Axis Bank’. Last night we spotted our dimpled cutie Deepika Padukone at Taj during the launch ceremony of ‘Lime’.

Deepika Padukone was seen seated with Axis Bank MD and CEO Shikha Sharma wearing a simple yet elegant long white dress for the evening. She kept it simple by keeping her hair open with almost no accessories. It was really inspiring to see two powerful women being seated next to each other; they both have done their country proud by excelling in their respective fields.

It was Mrs. Shikha who explained the media member about the functions of the application. She stated, “‘Lime’ helps any bank customer to do mobile wallet transactions and eases all of his/her online and offline payments. Also, one would be able to compare and buy products and services online. In addition, the entirely mobile-based transactions will enable users to open savings bank accounts and process KYC.”

The evening was surely a successful one because we found the audience to be highly interested and delighted in the application. We hope to see Deepika Padukone being associated with other such brands that help the general public in their day to day affairs.

Deepika Padukone is currently in news for her Imtiaz Ali’s next movie, ‘Tamasha‘. We last saw the two in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani‘. In this adventurous love story ‘Tamasha‘, we’ll see Ranbir Kapoor playing the character of Ved Sahni, a free soul, who just wants to spread happiness wherever he goes, whereas Deepika Padukone plays a comic book fanatic girl in the film. The two set out on an adventurous journey together after they meet each other in Corsica, France.
