MUMBAI: Bollywood director, Subhash Ghai and Rishi Kapoor revisited their ‘Karz’ days as the duo bonded together for the launch of a new rock music lounge in Mumbai.
The bash supposedly thrown by director Subhash Ghai had many Bollywood singers and celebrities in attendance which included Gul Panag, Priya Anand of ‘English Vinglish’ fame, Ronit Roy, singer Sukhwinder Singh, music honcho Bhushan Kumar, Ramesh Taurani, Ken Ghosh, Luke Kenny, Kartik Tiwary who will be seen in Subhash Ghai’s ‘Kaanchi’ and many others.
While the stars bonded over drinks and music, Subhash Ghai and Rishi Kapoor seemed to revisit their olden days of ‘Karz’. The duo not only grooved to rock music but also ended up smashing guitars. However Rishi Kapoor chose to be a good spectator as Subhash Ghai smashed the guitars.
Thankfully it was all part of the fun. Else Subhash Ghai will surely have had a huge ‘Karz’ to pay breaking guitars at the launch.
Rishi Kapoor also will be doing a solo dance number in the film and is elated doing the same for Subhash Ghai. “I am too thrilled to do this song after so many years for Subhash Ghai”, said the actor.
‘Kaanchi’ directed by Subhash Ghai releases on 6 December and also stars Mithun Chakraborty alongside newcomers Kartik Tiwary, Mishti and Rishi Kapoor.
