The film generated lot of controversies as the Indian audience did not connect with the strange role played by Big B in this film. He was seen essaying the role of an old person who falls in love with an underage girl. Lot of eyebrows were raised when he had an onscreen kiss with Jiah Khan which gained criticism for him. This film did was not in the favor of Big B and it failed to convince the audience.
