MUMBAI: Abhishek Kapoor’s adaptation of Charles Dicken’s ‘Great Expectations’ titled ‘Fitoor’ had stuck a minute roadblock with cousin Ekta Kapoor backing out over monetary issues.
But with UTV Motion Pictures joining hands with Abhishek Kapoor after backing the acclaimed ‘Kai Po Che!’, looks like ‘Fitoor’ is way on its way to start shoot soon.
With Hrithik’s sudden brain surgery, the shooting of ‘Bang Bang’ has been postponed to November, which means Katrina is on a vacation. But there is buzz that Katrina Kaif is all set to end her vacation and join Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead for ‘Fitoor’.
‘Fitoor’ was supposedly set to kick-start in September with Ekta Kapoor backing the project. But a fallout came when Abhishek Kapoor demanded a 50 percent share in the profits if any besides his fee for directing the film.
The latest is that Abhishek Kapoor’s demands have been partially met by UTV and the director is set to receive 20 percent if not 50 percent for his adaptation of ‘Great Expectations’.
Abhishek Kapoor has earlier helmed ‘Rock On’ and ‘Kai Po Che!’ which launched Sushant Singh Rajput.
With Katrina Kaif set to romance the young Sushant Singh Rajput and sharing screen-space for the very first time, it is surely ‘Great Expectations’ expected from ‘Fitoor’.
