Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today morning held a meeting with MNS chief Raj Thackeray and filmmaker Karan Johar over the release of movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. During the meeting, Raj Thackeray assured that they will not oppose Ae Dil Hai Mushkil release.
Post meeting, Raj Thackeray held a press conference to speak about the decision given on Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil release. He said, “Producers who have signed Pakistani actors will have to pay Rs. 5 crore as ‘penance’ for army welfare.”
Raj Thackeray also said that the terrorist attacks have been happening for a long time and that why we are rolling the red carpet for them (Pakistani artists).
MNS chief also said that Film & Television Producers Guild of India should give us a written undertaking that no Pakistani artist, technician, and singer will be allowed to work in India. He also added saying that whatever shooting of the upcoming films have been will not be affected but hereafter no Pakistani artist will be allowed to work in the industry.
Post meeting Mukesh Bhatt said, “They have assured us whatever support we want he will provide to us. He said that he will talk to chief ministers of the states so that the law and order remains in place and violence does not take place near theatres. Full security will be given to all exhibitors. The way we celebrate Diwali, (We want) everyone get entertained and celebrate it with happiness.”
Mukesh Bhatt also said that the ban on the film has been removed and that KaranJohar will display a slate of tribute for URI martyrs before Ae Dil Hai Mushkil movie is screened. Mukesh Bhatt also assured the CM that the producers Guild & Any filmmaker will not work with any Pakistani artist in the future
