Ajay Devgn recently took his stand on the on-going tensions between India and Pakistan. He is the latest celebrity from Bollywood who has come in the support of banning Pakistani actors working in India. The Shivaay star even said that he is not going to share screen space with them as of now. The actor has given his full support to the Indian Army.
“This is the time to stand by the nation”, he said. When asked if he would share screen space with any Pakistani actor, he said, “Not at the moment. I am very clear on this because you are an Indian first. I don’t care if my film doesn’t release in Pakistan. Their artistes are standing by their nation. They are earning here but are sticking by their nation. We should learn from them.”
In an interview to CNN-News 18, Ajay Devgn told that he understands one should not compare artists with terrorists but when the ties between both the nations are strained it is not possible to talk about exchange of art and culture. When Devgn was asked about Salman Khan’s and Karan Johar’s comments about the issue, Ajay said, “It’s saddening. You need to take a stand.” Salman Khan recently shared his views that artists are not terrorists and Pakistani actors come to India with valid visa and work permit, while Karan Johar said banning the Pakistani artistes is not a solution to terrorism.
It seems that Salman’s comment about the issue has surely made the Singham star upset.
