Instead of releasing teasers on the internet, Highway has come up with a different strategy. They have decided to allow the audience to see and feel the journey along with the makers and the cast. It has been an interesting journey so far, as it is also keeping the buzz alive amidst the fans.
Highway travels around six states of North India, and Imtiaz Ali has captured the beautiful landscapes perfectly on screen. It shows in the little diary videos being launched in ‘Episode’ format on YouTube. These short snippets capture the journey of the film, the exciting experiences that the cast and the crew had during it’s making.
The latest episode of Highway Diaries, which is titled ‘Sambhar Salt Pan’ shows a different side of Alia Bhatt’s character in the film. Alia is seen shooting in a salt factory at Sambhar in Rajasthan, along with the cast of Highway.

Alia, who is born and bought up in Mumbai learnt a new thing about Sambhar. Everything in this small town is more than a pinch of salt.
“Highway took me to all these amazing places that I probably wouldn’t have ever seen otherwise. Sambhar, the salt factory, was the most beautiful and most weird experience for me. I celebrated my birthday there as well. In many ways, I think it was here that I truly started feeling like Veera,” said Alia Bhatt.
Veera is the name of the character played by Alia Bhatt in Highway. The film, directed by Imtiaz Ali, is presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, and featuring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hood in leading roles.
