Student Of The Year star Alia Bhatt, who will be soon seen next to Shahid Kapoor in Vikas Bahl‘s Shaandar, said that she had a thing for her co-star! Yes, you heard that right. Reportedly, Alia Bhatt had a childhood crush on Haider actor Shahid Kapoor. To romance with your childhood crush, is every girl’s dream and this dream just came true for Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, not just once, but twice. As the two will also be seen romancing in Abhishek Chaubey‘s Udta Punjab.

According to our sources, Alia said that Shahid Kapoor became her childhood crush and favourite ever since she saw his debut rom-com film Ishq Vishq. Like any other girl, Alia couldn’t save herself from not being charmed by Shahid‘s lover boy personality. Alia talked about her massive crush on co-star Shahid Kapoor. “It was a childhood crush. I was 10 when I saw Ishq Vishq and for an actor to be so good in those days meant a lot to an impressionable girl like me,” Humty Sharma Ki Dulhania actress said.

She went further on and revealed how it was to work with Shahid in Shaandar. “I thoroughly enjoyed my shooting. It was my longest stint outside India. We were shooting in Leeds and Poland for 45 days. But it was amazing,” Alia said.

2 States star also said that it was great fun working with Haider actor. She enjoyed it so much, that the idea of doing another film, Udta Punjab, with Shahid sounded instantly joyful to her. Alia Said, “It was great fun working with him. Otherwise I wouldn’t be doing another film with him. Of course Shahid has 11 years’ more experience than me. I was aware of that. And I love observing my co-actors. Shahid is very helpful on the sets.”

Shaandar, directed by Vikas Bahl and produced under banner Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions and Phantoms Films, is a destination wedding film. The film is set to release on September, 2015.
