India’s Ace actor Amitabh Bachchan is equally loved by every Bollywood fan across the globe. What better way to unite India and Pakistan than to rope in Big B himself for the world cup match commentary? Yes you read it right!
Announcement of Amitabh Bachchan being roped in for the commentary of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 was made during the tri-series final between Australia and England yesterday. Big B will be joining the panel of Kapil Dev, Shoaib Akhtar, Harsha Bhogle and other commentators.
According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan is apparently pulling a ‘Shamitabh’ during the commentary as well, wherein the actor will only be lending his voice for which will be joined by Kapil Dev and Shoaib Akhtar’s cricket expertise. Director R Balki thinks that Big B’s voice can unite India and Pakistan better than anything else.
The promos feature Kapil and Shoaib, who sound like the superstar after they pop a lozenge called Shamitabh — thus combining their cricketing expertise with Big B’s inimitable voice.
Amitabh Bachchan himself stated, “This country’s emotions are ruled by two things — cricket and cinema; for me, it’s an exciting time on both fronts. My movie is releasing on February 6 and then, I have the privilege of making my commentary debut.”
This is the first time that the actor will be trying his hand at commentary. The India Pakistan match of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will take place on February 15.
