From award functions to launch parties to awareness gatherings, our beloved Bollywood celebs were in full glittering form. Let’s take a look at the best dressed celebs from the past week who stood out amidst all the buzz and the bling…
This week saw the magic of the use of basic colours like black, white and red and of course with a dash of golden for that extra dazzle; Humble and loud!
Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, ever so thin, was seen wearing a black dress with heavy golden work to the GR8! Women Awards. Her hair tied up, she looked lovely as she posed for the camera wearing the knee length dress holding the trophy in her hand. She was also spotted at the Police-women Interface wearing a simple off-white anarkali along with Rani Mukerji who opted to wear a saree for the function.
In fact this week Rani Mukerji has stuck to sarees and also to the same red- black- gold colour scheme even as she launched Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut television serial or at the unveiling of Yash Chopra’s bronze statue.
The doe eyed Aditi Rao Hydari mixed her basics with a dash of bright colour as she was spotted at various functions promoting her upcoming film ‘Murder 3’ along with Randeep Hooda. She too followed the trend of ethnic wear and looked stunning in her backless flowing lehenga at the sets of dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’.
In Bollywood, men do not step back in being at par with women when it comes to dressing up. The men too, however, stuck to black and opted mostly for suits or tuxedoes.
Amitabh Bachchan was his usual classic dressed self at the Mumbai’s Most Stylish Awards 2013 wearing a black suit. Meanwhile, Imran Khan at the same gathering and Ayushmann Khurrana at the launch of a special Filmfare issue wore the best looking and best fitting tuxes ever, their accessories, eyes that make you melt…
Yet the reigning beauty queen for this week would be Sonam Kapoor who rose like a Greek goddess on two occasions this week. With correct play of a cream coloured plain saree teamed with a heavy neck piece at the announcement of the India International Jewellery Week and a basic black outfit with Super Hero Flash-like full motif earrings as the Mumbai’s most Stylish function, Sonam is definitely our winner this week. Sonam is one actress who knows how to play up even the most modest of colours and has had a history of correct wardrobe choices. Her very elegant dressing style sets many heads turning towards her chic self.
