Arijit Singh’s loss has always been another singer’s gain. The much-acclaimed singer, having thousands of fans across the width of the country, has been replaced again. Earlier, Arijit was replaced for a song in Salman Khan’s Sultan due to an alleged tiff between the actor and the singer. This time, Arijit has lost a promotional song which he was roped in to sing for ‘A Flying Jatt’ featuring actors Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandes in leading roles. Apparently, the song Arijit has lost will now be sung by Pakistani artist Atif Aslam.
A source working closely with the film said, “Sachin-Jigar, who have scored the music for ‘A Flying Jatt’, had initially roped in Arijit for a background song. However, the makers felt that his voice did not do justice to it, and requested for a replacement. The makers liked Atif’s version and have given a thumbs-up to them. The singer has been paid close to Rs 35 lakh for the song, which will be unveiled a fortnight later. He has also sung a promotional track in the film; that will be out tomorrow.”
However, when the composer duo was approached to confirm the news, they clearly denied the rumour saying, “This is a hoax. Arijit Singh hasn’t sung any song for ‘A Flying Jatt’. He is a distinguished singer and we have done quite a few songs together for other films that shall be released soon.”
A Flying Jatt is a superhero action film which is directed by choreographer Remo D’Souza and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. The film is slated for release on 25th August 2016.
