The movie based on Bhopal gas tragedy starring Kal Penn, Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain has been chosen for screening at the London Asian Film Festival. The film has reportedly been chosen to close the night gala and will be screened at the end of the film festival.

Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain is the film based on the horrific disaster that occurred in Bhopal, Gujarat on 2-3 December in the year 1984. The gas leak tragedy that claimed the life of more than 10000 innocent civilians within hours has been depicted in the film.

Directed by British Indian director Ravi Kumar, the film stars Kal Penn, Martin Sheen, Mischa Barton, Rajpal Yadav, Tannishtha Chatterjee in the key roles. Also starring in the film are Satish Kaushik, Kailash Kher, Fagun Thakrar, Manoj Joshi amongst others.

Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain was released on December 5, 2014 in India and has since been nominated and screened in several film festivals including the Tokyo International Film Festival for Asian Future Best Film Award.
