MUMBAI: ‘Wide Frame Pictures’ yesterday launched their supernatural film ‘Aatma’, which stars Bipasha Basu and Nawazzudin Siddique, at Juhu’s plush JW Marriott hotel.

The Supan Varma directorial, which is all set to spook cine-goers from 22nd March onwards, had a grand launch party at the glorious seven-star hotel famous for its B’town connections. We caught a glimpse of ‘Aatma’s heroine Bipasha Basu, who shared some spooky, bone-chilling secrets.

Looking beautifully eerie, Bipasha walked in to the venue, hand-in-hand with a child actor, who is also part of the film. Bipasha chose a sexy black lace mermaid-esque gown for the event, while her young co-star was seen in a white baby frock. Surrounded by her entourage and bodyguards, Bipasha struck a classic pose, as she spewed forth on all things supernatural; i.e. all things ‘Aatma’.

The film’s male protagonist, the very talented and underrated star Nawazzudin Siddique was seen mingling with the press in a sharp black suit. The man famous for his breathtaking performances in films like ‘Talaash’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ is all set to venture into the horror film genre with ‘Aatma’.

And the cast of the film naturally indulged in some sorcery and witchcraft on stage. The brunt of the eerie experience this time around was Bipasha Basu, who was seen getting hypnotised on stage by a sorcerer. Lying on a chase lounger, Bipasha looked enthralled as the lady worked her brand of magic upon the Bollywood beauty.

Bipasha has been appreciated for her role in Bhatt camp’s spooky thriller ‘Raaz 3’, and is back again with another film of the same genre. It remains to be seen whether ‘Aatma’ can do wonders for Bipasha’s career again, by scaring the movie-going audiences out of their skin!

We’ll just have to wait and watch then, won’t we?
