Actress Bipasha Basu starrer The Lovers released recently in the United States. The film starring Josh Hartnett and Bipasha Basu gained massive criticisms from the leading critics of US and also fared poorly at the Box Office. However few people are of an opinion that the film has its own good moments.
The Lovers is a story based on love story set across different eras and continents of the world. The movie was a major disappointment from the side of director Roland Joffe who was the maker of Oscar nominated film The Killing Fields. The director was criticized for creating a chaotic mash up during the fluctuations between the eras and continents.
Lead actor Josh Hartnett plays two roles in the film. One a present-day American marine biologist who loses consciousness as he saves his wife from an accident, and a British soldier in 1770s India who falls in love with a woman, which is played by Bipasha Basu. However critics have also stated that despite all the hassle the ending of the movie was worth the wait.
The film was shot four years ago under the title Singularity. Bipasha Basu will be seen in the movies Mr. Fraud and Nishaad this year.
