The first ever superstar of Bollywood, and the actor par excellence Dilip Kumar turned ninety one today, December 11, 2013. On his birthday, Dilip Kumar is panning to have a quiet celebration with close friends, family and a team of doctors.
“I only want to thank Allah for whatever he has given to us. We will have a great celebration with family members, and around thirty to forty doctors who looked after him. They are like family to us,” said an emotional and content Saira Banu.
When asked about how has been Dilip Saab’s day so far, Saira said, “His day has been wonderful so far. Birthday wishes started pouring in since last night. He is now tired and resting as he has been busy since morning. He is taking some rest right now. It’s all the more a special day as it is 11.12.13 today, and I exactly wished him at 8 hours, 9 minutes and 10 seconds, so it’s 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12.”
Talking about Dilip Kumar’s health, Saira said that he has become little weak but he is healthy. “He was in the hospital some time back as you all know, so he is a little weak, but by God’s grace he is healthy,” she said.
Every year his birthday is not just a celebration for the family, but also for his fans spread across the globe. Back home, happy and in good health now, after a three month stay in the hospital, the veteran actor is set to celebrate his birthday today.
This year seems to be special as Dilip Kumar was in the ICU for almost three month. But now he is back, and all is well. The entire family is celebrating his birthday this year very quietly, and with a prayer of gratitude. Saira Banu wants her husband to continue being known as the emperor of Bollywood.
