From Highway, Imtiaz Ali is all set for Window Seat. Well, we are talking about the two films that are currently in the making.
Highway, as we all know, is almost ready and post-production work is on currently. While, Window Seat is expected to go on floor sometime in April 2014.
Highway stars Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala. AR Rahman has composed the music for Highway. According to Imtiaz, Highway is a story that has been with him from the past fifteen years. Usually, one loses interest in a story beyond a certain point, but with Highway, there was something very subtle, yet something very influential. Highway is all set to hit the theaters on February 21, 2014.
Coming to Window Seat: Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor decided to work together post Rockstar, and that’s when Window Seat took shape. However, the hunt for the female lead was on, and finally Imtiaz zeroed down on the current Box Office Queen Deepika Padukone. Deepika and Ranbir were last seen in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which set the Box Office on fire.
During last few months, there were multiple names being thrown around. While Katrina Kaif was said to be a frontrunner, Alia Bhatt too was apparently being considered, but finally Deepika has bagged the project.
Imtiaz Ali and Deepika Padukone have worked together in Love Aaj Kal (2009). Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan’s Illuminati Films produced Love Aaj Kal.
As of now, Imtiaz is busy wrapping up the post production of Highway, and would then get into pre-production of Window Seat.
