His Big Bollywood Career
Sanjay Dutt made his debut in Bollywood with 1981 film Rocky, which was a hit at the Box Office. Then he starred in film Vidhaata, which turned out to be the highest grosser of 1982. In 1983, Sanjay Dutt starred in another super hit film Main Awara Hoon. Sanjay was then not seen on the big screen for a long time, due to his drug addiction. In 1985 he made his comeback with film Jaan ki Baazi.
After his drug phase ended and he made his comeback on the silver screen with Jaan ki Baazi, Sanjay gave back to back hit films throughout 80s.
But it was film Naam, released in 1986 that gave the star his first major critical success and proved to be a turning point in his career. Sanjay had a successful career in the Indian cinema throughout the 90s as well.
