Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father was in the hospital in the ICU for the last couple of weeks. He passed away last evening.
His funeral was held on Saturday night at Vile Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi, in Mumbai. A host of Bollywood celebrities were present to offer their prayers.
Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan, and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan were standing by her side. Other Bollywood celebs who came to pay respect were Shah Rukh Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashukosh Gowarikar, Randhir Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Sikander Kher, Goldie Behl amongst others.
Aishwarya’s father was admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for over a month. He had a cancer in the past and after a month of a fight with his health, Krishnaraj Rai left this world for a heavenly abode last evening. He passed away earlier today, as confirmed by Aishwarya’s spokesperson.
