MUMBAI: Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Inkaar’ is merely days away from its release. And Bollywood certainly seems to have no ‘Inkaar’ or objection to the film, going by the star-studded special screening held in Mumbai last night.
Our little birdie spied a vast population of Bollywood celebrities and stars, all eager to catch the screening of the Arjun Rampal-Chitrangada Singh starrer. Arjun’s best friend Hrithik Roshan was one of the first to arrive, to support his buddy Arjun. Clad in a navy blue cardigan and jeans, he brought his wife Suzanne and their best friend Preity Zinta along for the ‘Inkaar’ screening.
Ameesha Patel, Neelam, Dino Morea, Mehr Jessia and Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar were seen having a gala time at the event. Farhan is also known as Arjun’s “other best friend”, and the gang of boys i.e. Farhan, Hrithik and Arjun bonded big time at the do. Farhan’s wife Adhuna floored us with her sartorial choice yet again: a yellow cotton shirt atop a pair of blue loose dhoti pants. So chic that we couldn’t keep our eyes off this celebrity hairstylist and newly minted style diva!
Suzanne and Preity were inseparable, and even posed in a classic “joined at the hip” pose for our shutterbugs. Suzanne in a navy blue singlet (to match hubby dearest, of course!) and jeans, and Preity in an ill-fitting ensemble. Interestingly, Preity’s film ‘Ishkq in Paris’ has been waiting for a release since late last year; we wonder if the film will ever see the light of day.
Coming to the film’s stars: Arjun looked dapper-chic as he escorted his wife Mehr, the ex-supermodel into the theatre. A leather jacket was Arjun’s wrap of choice, and made him look all the more rugged and macho. In comparison, Chitrangada was uncharacteristically frumpy in black sweater, black trousers, orange pumps (the only saving grace in her entire outfit) and oversized nerdy glasses we advise her to ditch ASAP! The duo was accompanied outside by ‘Inkaar’ filmmaker Sudhir Mishra.
