Akshay Kumar’s much-talked Jolly LLb 2, a sequel to hit franchise Jolly LLB, has emerged as the first hit of 2017.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited Jolly LLb 2, a sequel to hit franchise Jolly LLB, is doing well at the Box Office since day 1. With positive word of mouth, the film has received thumbs up from the audience as well as from the critics. However, with the bunch of Bollywood and Hollywood films released this week, Jolly LLb 2 will have to share the screens with this weekend releases – The Ghazi Attack, Irada and Running Shaadi.com. This might somehow create a tough situation for the film to touch Rs 100 crore mark.
Jolly LLB 2, which also stars Annu Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles, has collected Rs. 3.50 crore (35 million) net on its second Friday and took its eight-day total to Rs. 76 crore (760 million) net. The film has witnessed a huge drop of around 70%. The second week of the film is expected to collect Rs 15 crore and will probably witness a close of around Rs 110 crore nett at the end of the second week.
Jolly LLB 2 has become the highest-grossing film in East Punjab while Delhi/Delhi have been average. This was mainly because UP has a big ratio of business for single screens as compared to multiplexes in Punjab and NCR.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 2 is a story of a small-time, struggling lawyer, Jagdishwar Mishra played by Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Huma Qureshi, who is seen on the silver screen after almost 2 years.
