‘Banjo’ starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri has crossed its first Monday at the box office. The film was already low in the weekends and the first Monday is also not very fruitful. The musical drama opened on a low note at the box office with hardly any large crowds at the screens. The film was low in its star cast too with no major names. The recall value of the movie was also limited.
Riteish–Nargis starrer film had no super hit songs on the chartbusters and also the promotions were not up to the mark. With average recall value and lack of popularity, the film hardly gained any good numbers.
The weekend for the film was average and the weekday has a bad fate as assumed. ‘Banjo’ did gain some crowds in the Maharashtra circuits but on the weekday even that failed.
The musical film released with ‘Days Of Tafree’ and ‘Parched’ and both of these also failed miserably at the box office. Both the films earned around 15 lakhs and 10 lakhs respectively.
Coming to ‘Banjo’ the film earned Rs.85 lakhs net approx. on Monday.
The day wise weekend collection of the film is Rs.1.50 crore net approx. on Friday, Rs.1.75 crore net approx. on Saturday and Rs.2.25 crore net approx. on Sunday. The total collection of the four days comes to Rs.6.35 crore net approx.
The film’s collections are too average. ‘Banjo’ might not even cross the mark of 10 crore at the box office in this week.
