Box Office: Salman Khan’s Sultan Third Friday Collection

Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma gave a path-breaking hit with their film ‘Sultan’. The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is adored by the audience. The mass entertainer is a perfect combo of romance and wrestling.

The third Friday collection of ‘Sultan’ comes to Rs. 2.25 crore net approx. The film has dropped in its earnings since Thursday.  It was said that the Salman Khan flick will easily cross the mark of 300 crore, but the film is in a tight spot and is just inches away from the benchmark.

‘Sultan’ which released on Eid had the advantage of a national holiday. The film also gained immense collections in its advance bookings. With a slow collection in the second week, the movie is facing a difficult time to earn the 300 crore mark.

The week wise collection of the movie is Rs.229.37 crore net approx. in first week, Rs.48.75 crore net approx. in second week and Rs.2.25 crore net approx.in the third week (Friday collection).

The grand total of ‘Sultan’ comes to Rs.280.37 crore net approx. It cannot be ignored that the earnings of the film have shown an increase in the weekends. ‘Sultan’ might yet again attract audiences on Saturday and Sunday.

If the film witnesses a growth like last weekend then it will get a jump of Rs. 10 crore net approx. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has raced past the records of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in Mysore and Tamil Nadu/Kerala.[/tps_footer]
