The film is directed by Pa Ranjith and stars Radhika Apte in a lead female role. Since its inception, the film was highly awaited by the masses. The hype for the film was already at its peak and ‘Kabali’ was rightly termed as a blockbuster.

The film has crossed its first day at the box office successfully with the mark of Rs.40 crore net approx. The movie has not done well at all in the Hindi belts. ‘Kabali’ earned Rs.3 crore net approx. in the Hindi speaking regions.
Most regional films face a hurdle in the collections when it comes to Hindi speaking regions. The Rajinikanth starrer has nonetheless created a record in its focused areas. The film is already racing towards the mark of ‘Baahubali’. The Rajamouli directorial was the highest earner until now but seems like ‘Kabali’ will break its records in no time.

It is assumed that Rajini’s gangster flick will cross the mark of 120 crore in the weekend. Additionally, the film has also gained good reviews from the fans. The Tamil version of the movie opened on a 90% average which is immense.
