Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon starring Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan has finally released today. The film, which is set against the backdrop of the Second World War 2, has been high on promotions and has managed to create the much-needed awareness among the masses in the big cities. Rangoon has opened to approximately 1800 screens across the India and was expected to witness a decent opening on its first day. Could Rangoon get a good start in the morning shows?
Rangoon has taken a very poor start of around 10-15% in the morning shows. This can be because the content of the film is niche appeal and not everyone in the small centers is aware of the kind of cinema that is being created nowadays. Nevertheless, with Friday being a holiday in many parts due to Mahashivratri, the film is expected to do well at the box office in the evening and nights shows. If the holiday helps to draw the audience, Rangoon might see a decent first-day business at the Box Office.

Also, the audience footfalls would entirely depend on the positive word of mouth spreads that might give a good push in collections over the weekend. The film has to reach double digits on Saturday or Sunday to showcase a sustainable growth at the Box Office. Also, since the film will enjoy a solo release, it should witness a good run at the Box Office for the entire one week.
