Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania has released at the Box Office and has taken a good start on its first day. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a spin of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The film had been in tremendous buzz before the release as it brings most loved Jodi of Alia and Varun on the silver screen again. Their sizzling chemistry has always attracted the audience and the same has been seen in the opening collections of the film.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania has received rave response from the audience as well as from the critics. The film drives a beautiful message that has connected the audience. BKD has earned Rs 12.25 crore (122.5 million) as per early estimate at the Box Office. The film is expected to be the second best opening day of the year after Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees that earned Rs 20.29 crore on its first day.
Varun Dhawan has been touching new heights with his every film and this will be the third consecutive double-digit start for the actor. Badrinath Ki Dulhania has beaten Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 in some parts of the country. The film has performed well in UP and Mumbai.
The weekend for BKD is going to be huge. However, only Monday will see a dip because of Holi as most of the theatres would start shows in the latter half. Now that the movie is backed by positive responses and reviews it will surely make a mark at the box office.
