Kahaani 2 had a low first day and has managed to collect Rs. 4.25 crore net approx (Rs 42 million) on its first day of release. The collections of the film are less that Sonakshi Sinha starrer Akira and also lower than recent Vidya Balan’s last films like Ghanchakker and Hamari Adhuri Kahaani. However, evening shows were much better than morning shows. The film is expected to show a good growth on Saturday and Sunday, which will give a decent first weekend total to the film at the Box Office.
The film has started on a low note and if the movie is backed by positive responses and reviews it will surely make a mark on the box office.
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Kahaani 2 stars Vidya Balan as the protagonist and also stars Arjun Rampal as a cop. The film is completely different to the prequel and the thriller quotient has been taken a notch up.
