Remember Greg Cannom the makeup artist from Hollywood who has worked with Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons. He is the one who has the magic in his makeup techniques that can easily change the entire looks of the biggest stars and make it hard for us to recognize them.
Greg Cannom did the same for Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan, he had the toughest journey of his career for this movie because Shah Rukh played dual roles of a fan Gaurav and a superstar Aryan Khanna in this flick who looked alike but still looked different from each other. Hmm.. Sounds confusing ! Can you imagine the hard work put in by Greg, director Maneesh Sharma, and VFX team to make this happen in reality ? At times, they lost the hope of making this movie and making the characters look convincingly real but finally things worked out with advanced technology, firm belief, a great makeup artist like Greg Cannom and a brilliant actor like Shah Rukh Khan. We are more than happy to see their hard work is being appreciated so well at the box office and by all the die hard fans of Shah Rukh Khan and the movie Fan.

It’s said Greg Cannom used prosthetic makeup to make Gaurav’s jawline look like Brad Pitt. It was so tough to believe our eyes when we got to see Brad Pitt playing a role of a man who ages in reverse in the movie The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button but it was done so convincingly. And, once again Greg proved his artistic skills are unbeatable and unique. We usually related makeup to beauty and hiding flaws but with the right makeup artist a whole new look for a new character can be created which can always keep the audiences at the edge of their seats.
