MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone who stars in Ayan Mukherjee’s latest film ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, hurt her back while shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’.
‘Ram Leela’ stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone and has been in the news for many reasons. This is not the first time that actors from the film have injured themselves on set. First it was Ranveer Singh who injured himself and now it is Deepika Padukone.
The star is not bothered by it and continues shooting for ‘Ram Leela’ despite a sore back. Speaking on her injury Deepika Padukone said, “We had to continue shooting as we have an expensive set at Film City. Sometimes, you have to put your body through it. I took painkillers and continued shooting.” While it was not just shooting, Deepika Padukone also has been seen at several events with her co-star Ranbir Kapoor promoting ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, which releases on 31 May.
An insider on the sets revealed, “Sanjay sir is a stickler for work, because so much is at stake if shooting gets stalled because of a minor setback which can be taken care of. She did it because she felt responsible, and also the huge sets that have been constructed, any delay could be fatal for the production team to start all over again.”
