“Lion“, which features an international cast like Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara and British actor of Indian descent Dev Patel, apart from Indian actors like Deepti Naval, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Priyanka Bose and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is nominated in four categories of the Golden Globe Awards. The film had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival. Post which on 16th of November they held a premiere of the movie in New York as well. Where the former President of America gave a surprise appearance to see the film with its star cast Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, Priyanka Bose and Sunny Pawar, the eight-year-old Indian boy who plays the younger Dev Patel in the movie. When asked Priyanka about her experience meeting the former president of the states she said,” He shook everyone’s hand and we thanked him for being there. After the film was over, Dev, Little Saroo and I went through the guarded exit to thank him again. He greeted the three of us with so much generosity. He told Dev, he was a big fan of his work. He told me, that my performance moved him to the core. But there’s one thing he told Sunny, that I translated for him, that I will never forget. This would be etched in my heart and DNA forever. We will be nothing without the choices we make.”
