Directed by debutante Viral Shah, Midnights With Menka is all to set to hit the screens on December 7th, 2018. The film stars Gujarati superstar Malhar Thakar and widely popular Hardik Sangani in the pivotal roles. The makers held a press conference today.
Highlighting about the film, director Viral Shah says, “We always wanted to do something for Gujarati culture and theatre and then this film happened. We have never seen a fake biopic of a real person in Hollywood or bollywood movies till date. We want to start a new trend with this film Midnights with Menaka. The film could be easily compared to Andaz Apna Apna.”
Talking about the actor Malhar Thakar, Viral says, “Earlier seen in superhit Chhello Divas Malhar Thakar is the Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan of Gujarati Cinema. The film was the benchmark in Gujarati Cinema and it was seen by around 80% of Gujarati audience. There can’t be any comparison between Chhello Divas and Sairat.”
Revealing more on his upcoming projects, actor Hardik Sangani says, “I am going to be part of Ajay Devgn’s Tanaji and Dheet Patangey.” But interestingly, he shared a funny incident before he signed the film, “My family asked me not to do the film after reading the title itself Midnights with Menka.”
