MUMBAI: Fans of the much-hyped (on-screen) couple Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor may have to wait just a little bit longer, to see their favourite pair dazzle on the big screen…
The fallout from Hrithik Roshan’s brain surgery and subsequent recovery has been a possible delay in Karan Johar’s ambitious production, ‘Shuddhi’. The film, starring Hrithik with his rumoured ex-love Kareena was originally meant to hit the marquee on Diwali 2014, but it seems likely that it will now come only in 2015.
Said Dharma Productions’ CEO Apoorva Mehta: “Yes, there are chances that ‘Shuddhi’ will be pushed a bit. But right now, we haven’t taken a call on the exact nitty-gritty.”
Though Hrithik’s 2013 big release will be papa Rakesh Roshan’s superhero caper ‘Krrish 3’, which is releasing on Diwali as scheduled, it looks like his future projects ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘Shuddhi’ may have to face delays due to his post-surgery recovery.
‘Bang Bang’, initially slated for a mid-2013 schedule, will now go on floors in mid-November of this year.
However, Hrithik, in true superhero fashion, seems unfazed. “(Yes), it’s going to be pushed forward by the amount of time that my recuperation has taken. But that doesn’t mean anything negative. It only means that we are going to get more time to prepare and more time to make things even better.”
