Just like its previous two installments, ‘Dhoom 3’ already promises to be an orgiastic amalgamation of action, bikes, babes and baddies! In this case, the baddie in question, Aamir Khan, seems to have squarely stolen away the limelight…

The first part in the ‘Dhoom’ series saw a brawny John Abraham don the mantle of villain, which was taken forward by a light-eyed, bronze-skinned, Greek God-like Adonis known as Hrithik Roshan in the second film. But the third installment has seemingly crossed all barriers of pre-release hype, by roping in none other than perfectionist superstar Aamir Khan!

The trailer begins where the digital teaser had left off: showing the Chicago police in desperate search of a notorious villain, played by Aamir. He’s seen looking over the skyline of the Windy City, displaying an envious set of chiseled back muscles in his new shirtless avatar.

Aamir bolts on-screen, atop a black bike, as the suspect that the police are trying so desperately to nab. A voiceover in the superstar’s baritone establishes that the conniving conman is a poet as well, as he prattles off some chaste Urdu poetry.

The focus of the trailer justifiably is Aamir Khan, the baddie who steals the show. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan, reprising his role as the single-mindedly dedicated cop Jai Dixit and Uday Chopra, as his loyal sidekick Ali, bring in the required element of chase in this cop-and-conman tale.

The surprise element is a fleeting glimpse of the suave, sexy, lithe and lean Katrina Kaif, playing the tough chick with elan.

The year will definitely end with a ‘Dhoom’, as the trailer promises, with the much-hyped, eagerly awaited ‘Dhoom 3’ (directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by YRF) hitting the marquee on 20 December, 2013.

Gentlemen, start your engines! It’s ‘Dhoom’ time!
